Brownie Troop 74537 Bake Sale - Braintree - November 2008
Brownie Troop 74537 had their bake sale on Saturday November 1st 2009 and thanks to their work, the effort of their parents, and all of the donated baked goods supplied by many of you I am amazed to say that the 2ND grade troop out of Flaherty school raised as whopping $1,776 for Dr. Sholler on Saturday!! The troop was handing out fliers, corralling newly arrived people, and buzzing all about the grounds in an effort to raise awareness about our upcoming events and doing an amazing job of raising money themselves. There were no prices on the items, just a request to make a donation for whatever you were taking and this once again shows what an amazing town we are all fortunate enough to live in (and why we simply could never move). The highlight for myself and for Will was when some of the troop members had their game start and coach Rick and his entire team were all wearing their "Friends of Will" t-shirts as their uniforms for the game. Will was so excited to root for the "yellow team". It was a great day for getting the word out about the upcoming Friends of Will fundraising events. There was also a great group of volunteers that went around to local businesses on Saturday starting at noon to raise awareness of the events and to solicit donations for raffle items.
